Last Friday night, Baby got angry with me because I didn't bother to say a Thank You to him when he bought TomYamSoup home for me. I thought it was silly. I told him I will not do it again, but I did it again just now. He got angry the whole night long, and I thought it was silly to kick up such a fuss over a "Thank You". Not until I read this blog which Dear had asked me to read moments ago..http://memyselfmine.blogspot.com/Baby told me if I read the above blog, I will know, and start learning how to treasure him. And true enough, I felt I'm million times luckier than her. At least..I got my baby to wake me up every morning,to call me once in every few hours to check if I'm fine and ask me if I had my lunch,to give me the warmest hug whenever he comes home from work, to have dinner with me,to have chng teng with me after dinner, to send me to work every Friday and wait for me to knock off,to eat supper with me after my work, and sending me home so that I can sleep on his shoulder without any worries that I'll sleep overshot, eat dim-sum with me every public holiday, have breakfast by the beach whenever he takes leave,to go GSS with me..and the list just goes on. And yet, I'm forever so rude to him every morning especially when he tries to wake me up. Neglecting him once I'm so busy with my schoolwork in class.. Baby, I won't do it again. I'll be nice to you and not take you for granted. You are right. After reading it, I do know, and I'll learn how to cherish you. I will learn to appreciate all those little things you did for me and not take it for granted.. I will try my best to change my foul temper..!Baby, do you know we still have so many places yet to visit?! Like the Sentosa/Four Seasons Villa at Bali, all the mouthwatering side dishes @ Korea, go BKK to shop, go Hongkong and shop, eat, shop, eat again, go Barcelona and view all those lovely monuments which only I deemed romantic (:p), go to the LV in Paris, blah blah..
And you know I love to do my everything with you. Even simple stuff like reading Her World with you makes me smile. And shopping online with me too. And not forgetting, playing Scrabble on my NDS with you. Oh ya, I love to go supermarket with you. And yes, Vivo! :D
So Baby, let's work hard towards creating a lasting relationship ya? Remember huh, it's a blessing even to bicker with your loved ones! Muacks
You know I love you Baby.. You know I do. ♥XOXO

Friday, July 25
This is what I have been doing for the past three Fridays of July.
Talk, snap, drink, and have fun! :D
Here we are.. at No.5, Acid Bar, and Alley Bar. (on the very first week)

This group of people gets really wacky after they had a drop too much. But, it's them whom made us laughed till our sides hurts with their cranky jokes.

I've picked out a few nicer pictures for show here. Again, spot me and my Baby in there. That boy of mine... (:
Are you on of those that took pictures with us or whom we took pictures of you but can't find it here? Fret not. Here it is.
Choya Green Party Week (1a)
Choya Green Party Week (1b)
Have been missing out on all these parties? You still have one last chance! Catch us at LeNoir & Attica later on at night for the last Green Party of the month.
What're you waiting for? Get dressed up now and come on in!

Jie.. Though we are not as close as before, but still, it's really heart wrenching to see u like this..To see that you have to suffer all this shit. I still can't accept the fact that you are gone. I really couldn't recognize you when I saw you. Do you know that I was trembling all the way..
I'm really sorry for not being able to send you off for your last journey. I had exams going on.. Sigh. These few days, your image kept recurring in my head. Why is it forever the case that Man only knows how to treasure the person only when he/she's gone??
Why must it be you? WHY?!!

Flowers flowers flowers..
Nothing beats being greeted by the scent of those lovely roses early in the morning.
Whenever there are surprises in for me, my Kitty will always be one to present it to me. (:

When asked why variations of flowers are given instead of just roses, Dear said I'm just like the Lily right in the middle, standing out from the rest. Thank you, I'm really flattered.

On a lighter note, don't you think flowers seem more than just special when given at any normal days as compared to only on occasions when everybody on the street will be holding one?
Thank you Dear, you never fail to brighten up my day. Correction, day(s). :D
XOXO

Jie.. Very soon I'll be able to see you again, but never had I dream it would be that kind of place. Though we hadn't been talking much to each other these 2 years, but still, there were times we shared good memories. I'm really scared to go there actually. I'm afraid I will lose control and cry like nobody business. I really regret not catching up with you. I just read Caiwei's blog. I was on the brink of tears when I read those messages from her to you. Do you know that everyone is so devastated to hear this piece of shocking news? Especially June, Caiwei, Anita, Me and all your sisters?
I would really love to hear you call me Ah Pear again.. Could you?
To that driver out there, DAMN YOU!! Your reckless driving has caused a life and to think that you got away unscathed?

I couldn't believe my ears when the news is broke to me. It's really so sudden. I really couldn't bring myself to believe that you left the world so early. I was at a loss of what to say. Just yesterday, I was browsing through those neoprtins and took, and then... All along, I knew you have been reading my blog quite often, but yet, I didn't bother to catch up with you. Now I regret, but it's too late.
I will never forget those times when we hung out together after school to play pool at Safra.. Those times when we went house visiting during Chinese New Year.. That year when you guys helped me celebrate my birthday.. How we welcomed the year 2006 together..
In my heart, you will always be the lovely and sweet sister of mine. .

On a lovely Friday night after Baby waited for me a good 4 hours at town while me and Ethel had to juggle between The Living Room and Thumper.
*heh, that was me holding the Cafe Latte from Starbucks. that lil' treat from Baby for being such a good girl. bleh.

And mind you, this event is not gonna be on for one week, but for all the Fridays of July. 3rd week has passed and Baby does that every week without fail. Sending me to work, waiting me to knock off at the bar while being coerced to order Choya Martini (teehees*:p), then send me home.
That's me playing with the camera over @ Macdonald's before work. Baby said it's a wonder that I would actually settle for dinner at Macdonald's.
Hey man, I'm not that fussy okay! I do eat fast food at times. Let you in on a lil secret.. After living in this world for 17 years, this is the very very first time I ate Big Mac!!!! And the way I eat BigMac is horrendous.. Veggies lying all around.. Drop here drop there.. *tongues out
Okay back to it.
The banner for the week in the MKOP's website. :)
It's me and the boss of Choya - Joe!

Now pictures taken by me and Ethel over at the 2 bars. :D
You can find more pictures of the Choya Green Party here! Alright, the above are pictures for Week 2. Week 1 pictures will be up soon! On a lighter note, spot my Baby in those pictures! Heh.
This is what I do when I'm in exceptionally good mood.

To have such a wonderful boyfriend, what more could I say more? (:1000000 KISSES TO U BABY! *MUACKS!XOXO

My second foray into Korean food within 2 days! Am totally hooked onto Korean cuisine man! Can you actually believe it? Even after wiping out at least 70% of the dishes and with Baby putting his flag up, I'm still whining that I haven't had enough?!
This time, we tried Auntie's Kim Korean Restaurant @ 265 Upper Thomson Road. It's located along the row of shophouses where Ritz's Apple Strudel and UOB Bank could be spotted. Interior is really cosy and simple, rather small though.
If you were to compare Ju Shin Jung to this, I would gladly prefer the latter. Why? Simply because the food there is so so so heavenly! And the price range is pretty average and affordable. A meal for two costs us around $77, which is twice less than Ju Shin Jung.
Nuff' said and let's get straight to the pictures!
Like all Korean cuisine does, side dishes are served first before anything. I reckoned side dishes or rather, appetisers, are what essential to trigger your taste buds. If you have realized, appetizers usually fall into the sour/spicy/saltish category.
Traditional style Beef short ribs marinated in Special Sauce - ($27)

As what the name suggests, the sauce has an really extraordinary taste. Upon first bite and I swear you will get hooked instantly. Now, I think I can see people raising eyebrowns. I'm not kidding, go try for it yourself! :D
You may want to wrap your marinated beef with the fresh and crisp lettuce coupled with onions and condiments provided for a different style of eating beef. Not my cup of tea too!
Spring Chicken Stew, stuffed with Korean Ginseng Root, Glutinous rice & Herbs - ($25)

With the addition of cilantro, the taste of Ginseng does get abit off the traditional taste. But still, the Ginseng serving was pretty generous and chicken was tender. If you are one of those like my Baby who grimaced upon the smell upon hearbs, then this is definitely not your cup of tea!
Stir fried Korean Glass Noodle with vegetables - ($16)
If you were to ask me to comment, I would say it's a tad too oily and bland with only veggies in it. But still, a totally different style I would love to try apart from the Chinese traditional one.
Looking at all the food we have ordered, a table for two is obviously not enough for us! Now I know why the waiter at Yan Palace never fails to direct us to the big round table instead. :p
Overall, I would say this is a very value for money place to have Korean Cusine! A place where I'm definitely gonna file under the list of regular places I go. :D
Do come back soon for my post on my second trip to Auntie's Kim and pictures of Choya Green Party!
p/s/**To you-know-who-you-are, I just wanna tell you to stop being so childish. This ain't getting you anywhere. I could have jolly well confronted you like what others had asked me to, but I chose not to. I didn't want to create unecessary awkwardness. If you think trying to put me down excites you and is beneficial to you, go ahead then. You are just making me and the people around us get disgusted at you. Well, I'm not the one losing out. It's you anyway, so.. good luck to you! :)

My first foray into Korean Cuisine was nonetheless a pleasant one.
Headed to Ju Shin Jung Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant right after Baby knocked off from work, only to find desperately long queues. Though we had made a reservation, but because we arrived late, we ended up waiting for 15 minutes before getting seated.
2 appetizers and 10 side dishes were served once after we made our orders.

My my my..Look how colourful those dishes are! Tempted to try some? *Teehees* And you bet, I finished at least 3/4 of the side dishes by myself. :p

Now, here comes the main course.Fresh pork belly - 200g ($22)

Fresh pork collar - 200g ($22)
And I swear this is really good!
And last but not least, the legendary Wagyu Beef Striploin..
Just in case you aren't aware, Wagyu Beef is famous for its marbling characteristics, increased eating quality through a naturally enhanced flavor, tenderness and juiciness, and thus a high market value. But to our disappointment, the Wagyu Beef served here was not like what described above. It tasted like any normal beef. I hate to say this, but I would rather have the beef at Magic Hotpot.Priced at $59 for 130g, what you say?As much as I would love to try the $500 Kobe steak at Goodwood Park Hotel, it's really too expensive for me to stomach. I wonder how Baby did that. There's still Kimchi Soup which I'd missed out. Was too busy gobbling up those yummylicious food. :p
To people who don't take spicy food, fret not. It's not spicy at all. Taste just like Minestrone Soup with pepper added.
Just when we thought of leaving the place after footing the bill, this heart-shaped watermelon totally took us by surprise. Or rather me only.. To think that I actually went ga-ga over it. Hah.
The entire meal summed up to be $142.90. Worth it or not? I would give a nod.Especially when you compare it to the Teppanyaki Meal we used to have over at Jurong Hilltop Resturant which easily summed up to $120 per meal, this would be totally way below budget.Overall, I would rate Ju Shin Jung 4/5.Cosy settings, checked. Excellent service, checked. Little waiting time for food, checked. Superb food, checked! :DI had always thought Korean cuisine was only for spicy lovers, but now, I beg to differ. And this shall serve as a perfectly good reason for me to make a second visit in the near future. *winksOn a sidenote, if you are thinking of decking up to the nines there, please please don't. 75% of the people there wore t-shirts and shorts. And you would be surprised that I'm the only one in the whole restaurant donned in a dress!
Before signing off..

Sometimes, I really couldn't agree more that I'm such a pampered lil' girl..
Two surprises in a row in just one night when it's only an ordinary day. And yet, I'm ever complaining about never getting enough. I'm incredibly ashamed of myself.
First was the DKNY Watch presented to me the first thing Baby got home.

Followed by a lovely brown dress to greet me by the doorstep when I reach home late night.

See, got what I mean? What more can I say when they are such lovelies?
They simply deserve more than just one kiss from me. (:

If you're looking for having a buffet breakfast alfresco, Beach Hut at East Coast does the trick.

Beach Hut serves American style breakfast. You can expect the classic stuff like scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, baked beans, hash browns (which i swear is better than Mac!), grilled tomatos and etc. There is a separate station where you could request to have your egg done either the sunny side up way, or over easy. There is even fish porridge which I really love it. Not too bland and not too saltish. With the condiments added, everything's just nice. :)
Like I said previously, the food ain't fantastic. But still, it's passable. Rather, it's the natural settings I'm in love with. (: Did I forget to mention that it's only $9.90++ per pax?
Our initial plan was to have a mini photoshoot at East Coast. But unfortunately, right after our breakfast, heavy droplets of rain came tumbling down and we were left for no choice but to hop onto the cab and head to our next destination - Vivo.
Went shopping at Daiso and bought household stuff like food containers, cutlery and utensils, hangers, book stand, wet wipes for office equipement and so on so forth.. Not forgetting to include my Kitty organiser add-ons! Aha. Sometimes I do wonder, who ever passed me those "Auntie" genes! I'm forever sourcing out for cheap bargains, and obviously, Daiso does the trick for me! :p
My my my.. Don't you feel a instant squeeze in your heart upon seeing this snowy white lil dog?!

Mini photoshoot!

Lastly, pictures of me and my lovely Baby before signing off! Love him to bits. (:

P/S/ Sorry for throwing tantrums at you when I couldn't finish my project on time! I'm so sorry that we didn't go for Korean bbq as planned. You were really sweet to go Chomp Chomp just to buy the egg beancurd and fried prawn noodles for me! Muacks*
I'm a happy happy girl! What a lovely Sunday.^^

Aloha! Been a good two weeks since I stepped foot in here. Have been real busy preparing for all my projects and upcoming exams. Sad to say, I'm only gonna be more free during late August! Nevertheless, have been to couple places for some real solid good food. One of which include the Tse-Char at Kembangan which serves great Crab Tanghoon! (Oh my my, after so long, you should've know I'm a sucker for crabs right? Teeheees*)
Fell terribly sick a couple of days ago. Imagine having giddy spells, back ache, a sore and inflamed throat coupled with a husky voice and fever as high as 40 degrees Celsius. Argh, absolute out-and-out mayhem. Really thanks to Baby that I recovered so quickly. Trust him to rush down from Jurong to Ang Mo Kio in the morning just to bring me to the doctor. Thank you Baby. I wouldn't know what to do if it weren't for you by my side. :)
Finished the CommunicAsia and Fortis Private Event. Coming up next:
11th June - Media Event
17th & 18th June - Ascience Event
4th/11th/18th/25th June - Clark Quay Event
Not forgetting to input a good 2-3 hours for my telemarketing 3 days a week. My my my.. How am I suppose to cope?
I'm gonna get back to my project now! I'll be back real soon, and I promise with pictures the next time round! Tata*
