Aloha! It has been a good whole 2 weeks since I've blogged. And so, I'm here (:
The past 2 weeks had been fantabulous, made possible with my dear and lovely friends! And guess what i did? I had always mention i wished to, but never had the courage. Now, I finally did it! Yes, this is how happy I am now. *silly grins.
**Ta-dah!!
And this short hair will indicate my new start of life, the celebration of my new love (chuckles**), & of course the jerk completely outta my life. I'm never gonna be so foolish again and I'm just gonna be concentrating on my major exam which is coming this end of the month!! And of course, not forgetting company with dear. =p
So how? Do i look better with long or short? But whatever it is, I'm satisfied with my new hair. I had been sporting long hair for quite a few years. Guess it's time for a change! Anyway, I never had the habit of applying leave-on conditioner on my hair after my wash despite the relentless pursuit of Mummy's constant nagging, which obviously, fell on deaf ears! That explains the dry and split ends of my tail.
I never thought I will have the courage to cut away my beloved long hair. My heart was actually racing when i was waiting for the hairdresser to come!! And Darren gave me a sharp reminder, "Don't back out hor!" .
Initially, i planned to buy a Seiko watch for Dear as a gift, but not forgetting the risk of dear not liking the watch I'm gonna buy for him, i thought i would just give it a shot since dear has been bugging me to cut it!! And that means satisfying my own curiosity of me sporting short hair too! Once and for all. (:
And yeah man, washing my hair was such a breeze. No conditioner needed anymore. Time cut short for my shower. But one thing that wasn't needed before - Blowdry! I guessed if i don't, it will not look so volumized. I like my hair to be "pong-pong" one. Haha.
Earlier on, we had actually agreed on buying couple watches. But i love Guess, him Seiko. So how? *scratch head.
Had a feast at one of the seafood restaurants @ Turf City with Dear and his family for his birthday celebration. Oh my. I tell you, i was so nervous. Fancy that it was only the first meeting and that almost 3/4 of his relatives were there!!
2 things to look forward this coming weekend.
1) Finally finally... Meeting up with my darling Ashie on Friday! If you hadn't mentioned, I never realized it had been 4 months since we met up! oh boy..
2) Dear is taking leave on Sunday!! Just for me (:
Ok, and this is how our plan goes. Breakfast @ Sentosa, then shopping @ Vivocity, then alas, dear is gonna cook my favorite soup and dishes for me! You just don't know how much i missed home-cooked food ya! Hah, gonna import a new collection of FLATS just for dear. Nono, not that Dear is shorter than me. It's just that my high heels are forever making me look so much taller than him! But well, my dear friends and all, you just have to bear with me. I simply don't have any flats! Aha, does this ring a bell in regards to my test?
Oh yes, not forgetting that I've 2 new red toys from Darren! My limited edition Red Ipod Nano shipped from Hongkong! And a new bright red 80 GB external disk drive!
Thank you thank you. I'll continue to study hard. (Those are my rewards for getting 5As for my exam! ) Heh.
And I'll never get bored again even if Dear is too busy to accompany me in future. Why? That's because I've added a whole new collection of DVD's! All those hk dramas I've missed on SCV, I've got it all.
You're not gonna believe this coming out from me. I bought Tom & Jerry and "Ying tao xiao wan zi" dvd's too! Haha. Oh, don't laugh. That goes to show I'm still young at heart!
Had our 3rd badminton session with Kaira gang again yesterday. Aww... I was pretty shag and didn't play well. I guess, the hot and stuffy court had a part to play. Calvin said it was like no different from sauna! I totally agree, no exaggeration. =\
Anyway, the badminton craze got the better of me and i specially bought 2 sets of Addidas sportwear. Hohoho. But not a racket yet... Not before I've mastered well the sport. In addition, my exams are coming real soon and my time will be really limited. (:
Got to try Donut Factory finally.. *Thumbs up ! It is far much better than the one at Vivo!
**Yum yum... It's making me drool now...
Caught 3 movies last week.
1) 881 2)Underdog 3) Now i pronounce you Chuck & Larry ***All are a must-watch! All made my laugh till my sides hurt! Looking forward for more comedies! Nanny diaries shall be next.. (:
Another thing. If you guys love the sea and wants to chill out at the same time, Fisherman Village will be the right spot!
********************************
Dear dear! Look at this interesting place! Oh boy, you better plan your schedule properly asap k. I can't wait to go Bangkok! And let's go to this place! Haha.
Dear, just wanna say that i love you as much too. I hadn't realize the person who loves me most had been all the while at my side. If i had, we wouldn't have wasted so much time contemplating this and that. But i'm glad i sort it out and we are finally together now. Muacks!
**************** Will update soon! Have been very very busy! (:

Tuesday, September 18
Hooray!! My exams are over!!!
For the past 2 hours, i've been no different from a zombie. I finished an one hour paper in mere fifteen minutes. And "thump", down i fall onto the table and off to dreamland.
You can't blame me! I slept at only 4.30 am, then woke up at 6 again. Finally the days of "3-hour-sleep" are over. As much as I'm dog-tired, i still wanna finish this post. (:
Only till last night, then i realized there's such a nice place near my house area! I'd always thought Yishun was such a boring place to live in. But the place i went yesterday made me change my mind. That place may be nothing special, but just the right one i would love to go regularly!
Alright, i shall not beat around the bush anymore. It's bottle tree park!
Wonder how it's name originate from? Look at this.
Isn't it cute?! I actually got pretty excited when i saw this tree! Did a little research on it and here it goes.
The Bottle Tree Village is the brainchild of Mr Alex Neo, who was so fascinated by the Bottle Trees that he saw in Australia that he just had to have some of them shipped over to Singapore, even if it cost him up to $30,000 each. The Village which occupies the former Sembawang Sea Sports Centre is now home to 6 of these Bottle Trees, also known as Brachychiton rupestris which are native to south-west Queensland in Australia. Two of the oldest and largest of the bottle trees (named after the bottle-like shape of its trunk) now in Singapore are more than 100 years old and it takes about four adults, holding hands, to hug the tree. A mature bottle tree can grow up to 12 metres tall.Apart from bottle trees, grass trees, giant ferns and palms, also imported from Australia can be seen around the Bottle Tree Village.
After admiring the trees, proceed on to enjoy some seafood by the Johor Straits at the Sembawang Eating House (Seafood Restaurant). The restaurant whips up such specialities like Steamed Shark's Head among other unusual dishes like Deep-fried crispy prawns with salted eggs, Banana Scallop wrap, pomfret soup in claypot, Mongolian sauteed prawns and sea cucumber with dry scallop sauce. Oh boy. Food wise... I beg to differ. Don't expect any raves from me for this particular Seafood restaurant. The food served there was nothing special, typical and average taste. And yet, one dish costs at least $20. And the bill(for 2 person) summed up to $94.15! It's simply exorbitant man.
Yes, true enough, one should expect prices of the food there wouldn't be cheap. But i just reckon it's not worth the money. I strongly wouldn't recommend you people to eat there. You can easily get more and better dishes outside. A close up...
The one featured in the centre is what mentioned above, claimed as the special dish. <Banana Scallop wrap &; Mongolian sauteed prawns >
Bottle Tree Park would be a nice and favorable place to let down your hair, breathe in the fresh crisp air and gaze at the stars intently, and let the cool gentle wind caress your cheek while you indulge in the own self reflection after a long day of hard work.
But a big NONO for food, seriously!!
But anyway, i found this in the middle of the park which i found kinda cute. Heh!
Overall, it's a nice place lah..!
Alright. Now that my post is done, without further ado, I'm going to catch my forty winks now!! Can't tahan any further! Bye!
**************************************** Bottle Tree Park.
*situated near Khatib MRT station which is about 5 to 10 mins walk away along the road, it’s opposite yishun stadium

Sunday, September 16
Yawns. I've just clocked 12 hours of sleep. The feeling is....Shiok ar! haha. I haven't been getting enough sleep since my exams started. I sleep at only 3+/4am, then waking up at 6! Now that you know the truth, don't say I'm lazy! I deserve that 12 hours of sleep!
Had a wonderful weekend! Just yesterday, the Kaira gang and I went CCK Sports Hall and played badminton! It has been sooo long since i sweated! True enough, you feel refresh after the 3 hour game. But now, my muscles are all aching! I never knew badminton could be so fun. I guess, it's all bout who you play with!
Miss Celine, stop using your exams as an excuse and say that you have no time! Get your butts up and start inculcating the habit of exercising at least once a week!
After our game, we went hunting around for good food. And i actually brought the "Food Guide Book" and Darren kept teasing me saying i'm a a typical auntie!
Characteristic of a typical auntie:
1) Wake up early in the morning and rush to be the first in the queue for Mango sale!
2) Quibble over that few cents when you know NTUC is selling the chocolate 5cent less than Cold Storage! (But wait, you must have been going around surveying the prices of the chocolate!)
3) If the service catered to you is not up to standard, first thing thats springs to your mind is = COMPLAIN !!!!
Does your chracter fit any of those? If yes, Welcome to the Auntie's Club! I'm proud to say i'm one of them too!. *silly grins
oops, i seems to be veering off the topic. Back to the previous. I was saying...
Oh yes, so we ended up in Geyland for our "Black Chicken Soup!" *Thumbs up for it man! One bowl is never enough. Thanks to Calvin for giving me half of his share! But first, I'll have to thank you for not liking it!
It may not seem that appealing to you in pictures. Looks kinda normal ya? But you've gotta trust me. It's really delectable!
Located @ Geylang Lor 21!
Aftermath, we still ta-bao You-tiao & Soya Bean! And because it's a lmost impossible to park there, we went to a place, almost similar to Seletar Dam/Yishun Dam, to have our "You-tiao" feast! By then, i was dog-tired. My eye lids were constantly drooping and how i wish i could sleep all the way in Darren's car! haha
And from there, since each of us have our own plans for the night, we parted. And off i go, home sweet home.
Did i ever mention that i have this queer habit of not allowing outsiders to sit on my bed if they come to my house? If they do, i will change the bedsheet once they leave!! And if I'm back home after a long day, i must shower before i even dare to sit on my bed? Otherwise, the sofa would be my bed!
But yesterday, it was a total exception. I don't know how i landed sleeping so soundly on bed. Just "thump!", and off to dreamland! So you should know how tired i was yesterday!
Nevertheless, I still manage to pull myself up after an hour or so to prep-out for my next date.
The intial plan was dinner @ Acasia AGAIN. But somehow, we changed to Vivocity. Had my dinner at Shin Kushiya!
The above was my share alone! Haha. Big eater huh! Since young, i have a penchant for Japanese culture. I loved almost everything about Japanese! Do you actually know one has a procedure to follow for eating Japanese cuisine? I only came to know this till last year.
The raw dishes are to be consumed first, and not in the middle, never at the last. Simply because once you have eaten the others, your taste buds would have been "corroded" and you'll not be able to taste the raw-ness of the salmon. And sushi must be the last dish because it's the most filling, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to enjoy the other dishes with a bloated tummy? (:
I've been hearing all the raves of The Donut Factory. Well, I've yet to try that out! Dippin'Donut will be still safe as my favorite!
Okay, i re-watched (i fall aslp the last time round and left the cinema in the midst of the show!) the movie Ratatouille. This movie is really really expensive.. Why do i say so..
Because i watched it in Gold Class one! $40 spent for this movie! So this time i told myself, as much as it's so cozy that i really feel like taking a short nap(which i guess i will never wake up again heh!), i must tahan till the end of the show and not waste money again!
I'm not that kind of girls who love watching animated movies. But this one definitely was an eye-opener. The scenes really tickled me and i couldn't stop laughing!
4.5/5! And so well, my Saturday ends here. Let's back track to Friday now.
It was the birthday celebration for Janet @ Ice, the karaoke Pub located at Serangoon. I shan't say much, let pictures do the talking.
me & birthday girl Janet. Guess how old is she? 37!! she looked merely in her late twenties only!
I love this shot! Heh, cute! We were actually suppressing our laughter when we made that face at each other! Me & Celine. Hah, they were all saying 大celine,小celine :p
Shall end the post off with the collage done with my Winnie the Pooh! :D.
Time flies. And it's gonna be another Monday soon..And i almost forgot that i still have two more papers to go!! Ahhh...

The preparation for my upcoming exams is really getting on my nerves! I slept at only 5+ this morning! No, i didn't want to sleep that late man, i was too angry to sleep! Jolly well because i can't drill the facts right into my head. Hmph!
Nevertheless, i had a wonderful K-session with the Kaira peeps last night. Darren had such a great voice, or rather, had the voice of a woman! Haha. Pitching his voice so high was his forte! (One night in Beijing/Superwoman.. etc) was no feat for him man. What a damper that Ben and Meimei didn't come. But there will be another outing coming up very soon. The 4 September babies will be celebrating their birthday together. Tentatively, the session is fixed next week. Next week is my exams! :\
Got to know a new friend, Pem!
Oh no, i blinked my eye. Next try!
*Ta-dah! ^^ Hmms.. So what have i been doing for the past few days? A quickie summary.
3rd Sept > Cooped up at home, mugging religiously. Aww~
4th Sept > Mugged @ library from 12-9! Alone! Acacia for dinner again. Heh. One fine day, i shall post up photos of Acacia. You guys will love it for sure! :D
5th Sept > Mugging session @ library too. But that evening, Alvin my shifu came to tuition me! I tell you he's my benefactor man. All my doubts are being casted away, finally. Thanks alvin!
6th Sept > Home sweet home. Hengheng for supper again. Hohohoho. If you are looking for fishhead steamboat, this shall be the one man. I've got feedback from peeps saying that "The Magic of Chongqing hotpot" i had recommended was fantabulous. Heh, I've become such a glutton. :p
This time, we got home not by cabby, but by bus 851. And throughout the whole journey, i was playing with the lil' devil who sat in front of me! Oh my, this girl is really..She's just 5 years old. But words like "sai-kang" etc came shooting off her mouth like ABC. I know i know, she's only 5 years old. It's only normal for kids at her age to sputter nonsense.
But i simply don't see my nieces and nephews speaking this "jargon" language man. The speak perfect English and are all multi-talented. Such uncouth words is a big NO-no. It must have got something to do with the upbringing for sure. I'm never gonna allow my children to have such words in their mouth. Never. Imagine what will become of them when they grow up? Kids should be nurtured well and good habit should be inculcated in them since young. Sigh..
One thing i had in common with this lil'devil was that she's as mischievous as me! Hahaha!
This devil even made a boo-boo face to me when she knows that the camera is waiting for her!
But nevertheless, I'll have to thank her for making my journey home a full of laughter one! Aww.. I'm starting to reminisce about my childhood....
Oh oh, something sprang to my mind. Do you guys ever believe in horoscope? I never used to, but now, yes! Don't ask me why the sudden interest in it, but I'll have to tell you it's very true. (though there are always exceptions) But a slight warning, getting too indulged in horoscope will result in yourself stereo-typing people which is very very bad! This is what I've found!

People who know me should know that every single sentence is so true about me! But i beg to differ with the last sentence! I'm a calculative girl, quibble over a few cents, and yeah man, you do see whiskers on my cheek ya? **meooowww...
There's more! Stay tune if you wanna find out bout your horoscope. And a food post will be coming up soon. Till then, cya* !

Monday, September 3
Hi peeps!
Wow, I'm surprised that i haven't blog for nearly a month which isn't the norm compared to the past when i blog daily, sometimes multiple posts a day! But I'm really busy preparing my exams. I can only afford to spare a few hours to have dinner out with friends. That's all. No more long hours of shopping with girlfriends. =\
I'ld just do a quick summary of the month and sign off for mugging. Haven been working @ Comex for the past 4 days and my feet ached like %^$!$% after standing for 9 hours each day!
For the first day, i wore an 3 inch white heels and when night has come, i tell you, every step for me is a torture. No joke man, never try. I got a couple of blisters already. I changed to a shorter one for the 2nd and 3rd day. Unfortunately, the strap snapped at night! Well, I've been wearing that pair for like nearly 2 years! I have to say Summit shoes are really durable and long-lasting. I won't be shy to say that i actually wore this to the market. Haha, so it looks really worn out. To think i actually wore this old heels to Comex. No choice dude, that's the only pair of one-inch heel i have. Did i ever mention that i don't have any flats?!
But i guess, the snapping of the heel strap was a hint to me, a hint for me to start afresh. (:
Painfully dragging my feet to Liquid Kitchen after work on the first day. And i fall in love with that place! The setting gives me a cosy feeling and one thing i like about it is that the sofa allows me to lay my aching legs out. That was heavenly man... :p
This is what i had: Long Island, Endless Love, Sausages wrapped with bacon, Mini meatballs.
The irony is this.. Regardless from any angle i looked at the meatballs, it doesn't look MINI at all!
Patronized there the day before again! This time, a soccer live match was going on and you could hear endless cheering and jeering there. Hah, i reckoned that the match will only get exciting unless you had place bets on it. Otherwise, it does seems boring ya?
I have to say, Liquid Kitchen does have a way in making use of the Live match to make money. On days where there are live matches, you will get 30% off your second drink. And after every goal scored, there will be.. Oops. I'd forgotten what the perks are.
Feeling kinda down that day. Tried something stronger- Vodka Martini. Well, my friend wouldn't allow me to drink, that's why only cocktails!
Don't you find the names of cocktails are all so intriguing? I choose my cocktail based on my mood of the day. I do have an interest in cocktails, especially the names. I wonder based on what grounds they gave the drink its name. At times, the thought of going to learn how to mix alcoholic drinks do came across my mind! Heh!
Aftermath, went Amk Hub to catch the movie Ratouille. The showtime was 1.55am. For the very first time, i fall asleep the moment my butts touched the seat and slept all the way. In between, i forced my eyes open and squinted. My friend kept nudging me to wake up, but to no avail. Well, in the end, we left before the movie came to an finale. Yeah, tickets wasted. Money down the drain. And hah, back home off to dreamland. lol.
Finally, my craving for Hengheng Steamboat is satisfied. Went there last night after work. Hoho. :D
Well, these 4 days passed quite quickly. Yes, Logitech again. This time, the promoters weren't the same as the previous ones but still, they are all very fun-loving. We may be even going for a K session next Friday. Hopefully the planning goes smoothly. Without their silly jokes, time would have crawl man. And we played pranks of customers and even on our bosses! Haha.
Because for my side, we sell portable speakers which is specially for Ipod. A remote control does come with it. So Darren, (the one who came up with this idea!), took the remote control and stood a distance away from the Audiostation. And when customers stood near to take a look at the it, Darren would click "Play" on the remote and tadah*, there goes a full blast of Linking Park songs. Some victims jumped upon hearing, while others, acted as if some explosion had taken place and the impact was so big that they nearly flew off.
Hah, i'm serious! Those scenes were really hilarious! We laughed till our sides hurt, especially me when i was the accomplice. Cuz i'm the one who is supposed to stand beside it and give out flyers and occasionally, promote the Audiostation. So usually, i will have to control my laughter and tell the customer politely, "Sir, would you like to have a look at our Audiostation?"
And there goes another victim...! *sheepish grins.
The moment we played this song (Click below), all of the people within our area broke into laughter. Especially those victims. Oh my *cupping my hands on my mouth laughing!
Well, sometimes you really do need to come up with such silly ideas to pass time huh? :D
The peeps which made my life so much happier.
Will be getting my Crimson & Black DS Lite next month. Hopefully it's availiable in Sinagpore. I hate to go through the hassle of getting it imported from US!
Hoho, Darren is helping me to check with his booth for fabulous deals for my DS Lite. Heh! ^^
The price of Pinko has dropped to $69 for 1 GB! I gasped in shock when i heard that from Ronald. Ahh! It's terribly disgusting that it's available at such a cheap price. To think when Alvin and gang got that for me, it was selling at a price for $130. But well, that was when Apple had just launched this new gadget.
*In case you guys forgot who is Pinko.. Here she is...
Tried my shuffle with Audiostation and came to realize that the sound quality is a vast difference from Nano. Actually the thought of getting a Nano did cross my mind... But it seems a little too wasting of money huh?
If i really wanna get one, this would be the one. Only came to know of this through Ashie.
Ta-dah. Here comes the launching of the new red lappy marking the 10th anniversary of Vaio.
Deliriously excited when i saw this new model. Can't wait to get my hands on it. But well, the time hasn't come yet. Be patient Celine!!
29th August
First thing in the morning, i took the Logitech outfits, and a few tops of mine for alteration nearby my house. Stayed there for at least an hour because the details was way too complicated! The initial alteration done on the outfits was atrocious man. Though the size states "M", each and every top was of different size. Even the tailor got confused. Argh! Cooked barley on my own for the first time. Not to say, i screwed up! Because i washed off the sugar of the wintermelon and the water came out so bland. Ended up adding honey rock sugar into it. Alas, frog's legs porridge for supper. I guess, this was the best thing that happened for the day :\
28th August
Went to Logitech for product training and fitting for the new outfit designed by Steff darling! Finally for years, Logitech is willing for change their outfits. Thumbs up for the new outfit :D Had dinner @ Modesto with Dar and Uncle Jeremy. Really appreciate their kind intentions, but well, at the end of the day, the decision lies in my own hands.
26th August
Initially, planned to go Amk library to do some studying alone. And guess what. When i reached there, i saw soooo many tables without a single soul, but instead, it was their bags and books i saw. Sheesh! For goodness sake. If you wanna have lunch, kindly let up your seats for others who wanna use it! So inconsiderate man. So in the end, i had to walk all the way to Macdonald for study. =\ But nevermind, it was the Katong Laksa which i had for dinner cheered me up. (:
25th August
Caught the movie "Dead Silence" @ Shaw. One word, "Eerie!"
24th August
Dinner at Acasia again! My usual preference was Beef Bolognese, nothing else. This time round, i tried Vongola. Thumbs up! Heh. Aftermath, hung around the place and played Mahjong on the DS Lite for hours! Didn't know mahjong can get you hooked!
16th August
It was birthday celebration of my beloved classmates, Yangqin and Liangyi. Went singing at Partyworld, aftermath, all the peeps, (a total of 7) went to my house for pizza feast! We ordered 2 large ones, and 2 medium sized. Poor Alvin.. Because he's the only vegetarian, he had to order his own pizza from Pizza hut. Aww...
And to celebrate this happy occasion, i opened a bottle of Red Wine! For some unknown reasons, the cork went brittle the moment CH screwed in. Nono, not that CH is inexperienced. But the problem lies in the wine bottle. In the end, we had to sieve the wine each time we drink. Funny huh? Hah.
Most of the guys were bad at drinking man. The face turned so red after a few sips! hah
But nevertheless, we had a fun time! It seems that almost a quarter of my classmates had went to my house before. I guess, I'm the only one whose door is always open to friends! I'm glad my parents are not those conservative ones whom don't allow guys in!
Some randomized photos to end the post!
P.S. Thank you darlings for being there for me. Maybe it's too late that i realized that stupid mistake I'd made before only now. Still, better late than never. I'm always like this. I will never shed a single tear unless i see the coffin. (Hah, direct translation from the Chinese saying. Lol!) But at least, i learnt a lesson. No use lamenting and crying over split milk. What i should do is to think of ways to solve it. I guess, i wouldn't be what i am today if not for what happened 2 years back too! Each ordeal only makes me stronger, never weaker. *winks.
