Bookworm

Been rather restless and temperamental this whole week. Stress, is the reason. Lots of tests coming up next week, but haven't really studied yet. The pain of the ulcer at my tip of my tongue is killing me man! Now I speak like one with short tongue. Grrr...

Indulged my free time on 2 of Sidney Sheldon books. I must say I'm impressed by him. I really couldn't bear to put the book down once I get started on it.

Went to Swami Home on Friday for volunteering work. Aww, those old people was so pathetic. I was part of the interaction team. I don't know if the old people there are happy to see us or what. Because there was one old woman who broke down when i talked to her.

All the people there always appear to be in a state of melancholy, sad and sorrow. They are always staring at nowhere.

From the conversation with an uncle, we were told that they actually have to wake up at 6 everyday and go to sleep at 9.30.

I was like so shocked to hear that. Why should they wake up so early? Was there a need to do that? Rather to waste their time staring in the blank, why not spend their time resting.

They are always so lonely. And he told me that the Missy's there was very bad. They would be ticked off if they ask for more food.

Oh my. How could they!

Seeing them in such a pathetic state, spending their last few years on Earth in solitude really send shivers down my spine.

I don't want to get old! I don't want to be a burden to my children and all.

Life is not easy at all !!

Not forgetting,

You know what? On Thursday, I complained of boredom and kept whining that it will be so nice if i could have a mp3 with me that moment.

And at night, Baby gave me a riddle to my Valentine's present.

Aha! Clever me got it right. It was an Ipod! Oh boy, so sweet of baby.

But i told him not to waste money over it as i would get a new phone soon and it has mp3 as well.

Instead, we have intended to get Couple Watches on Val's Day! Last year Baby and I didn't really get to celebrate Val'S Day as he was in BMT,

Let's make this year a lovely one! ^^

It do pays to be rude!

Upon seeing the topic in Stomp Star blog - What are the endearing traits of Singapore, the first thing that flashed into my mind was bad service !!

I could still remember vividly last month on Straits Times, there was this section featuring those people who are awarded the Good Service Award. It looks that there are quite a number of them. But come to think of it, i think there is far too little.

I digressed. I thought the government has been always putting on innumerable campaigns to promote good service in Singapore? But to no avail, i reckoned.

I simply don't see any improvement to the service in Singapore!

Just yesterday, Stella & I was on my way to tuition. And I stopped by to buy a cup of papaya milk. Upon reaching, i saw a uncle, with his legs crossed, sitting on a chair, taking his own sweet time to cut the papaya into slices. I stood there for a few seconds, waiting for the uncle to ask me. But he didn't. And he just jollied well continue slicing his papaya.

Alright. I assumed he was busy, and MAYBE too busy. So i took up the initiative and told him what i wanted. And to my surprise, he didn't give a damn fuck to me! I stood there, looking blankly at him, waiting for a reply like a fool. Apparently, he just didn't want to care!

At this moment, his wife walked in, carrying a basket of things. She took a glance at us, and ONLY after she placed her stuff all in place, she turned to us.

You bet she would ask her what we want to drink. But she didn't ! She just did the action, similar to nodding your head ( those kind like, not-happy-face ), and assumed that we understood what she was saying.

And below is our stupid conversation.

Me : Auntie, I want 2 cups of papaya milk. Btw, do you sell large size one?
Auntie : Ya.
Me : Erm, may i know how big is yours?
Auntie : What kind of cup you want! ( tension starts to rise )
Me : Could you show me your L-size cup?
Auntie : This one lor!

God. How rude. And when she was blending, i noticed that the papayas she was using for our tea, was not orange, but near to beige!

One look at the color and I could predict the blandness of the milk I'ld get later on.

Not only that, the milk she put in was the amount used for regular size drink.

My blood was boiling. Bad service, bad drink. What more could i have?

I thought it was the end of it. As if it was !!!

After i took a sip from the milk, i wanted to puke it out. So bland, that it doesn't even taste like papaya milk !

I chided the auntie, and asked her why i could get any taste out of if. And she actually replied : " Nowadays the papaya not sweet mah! "

Trying to suppress my anger, i demanded more milk to be added. And she said that how was she supposed to do that when the cup was full?

The uncle turned and stared at me.

%$#@! I really wanted to point my nice, lean, middle finger at her man.

I pay for the drink alright. Of course i expect the quality i should deserve!

I couldn't imagine if Stella had apologized to the auntie and nudged me to leave.

Oh.. fine... I know i shouldn't expect much from a market, but AT LEAST, talk to me in a nice proper tone!

I certainly don't want to come across this kind of bad service anymore! It just adds wrinkles to my face.

Grrrrr.... !!

The Maya (Photos updated!!)

Yawns. Morning everybody! Just finished my makeup and waiting for the stupid baby of mine to wakeup. =\

A Friday so wonderful last night. Caught the long awaiting movie " Apocalyto " at Suntec with Baby and Jialing. Did a little homework before catching the show by browsing through forums for reviews bout the show. And to think that Apocalypto is rated only 2/5 stars in TODAY newspapers! And another member actually rated that wretched 2.5/5!

Of course, why will Miss Celine be affected by all these ratings! Pocketed a jovial and anticipating mood to the cinema, and there she goes..

Rating : 4/5 !! :DD

Despite the attention given to the collapse of the classic Maya, to think that there are still around 6 million Maya live today in parts of Mexico, Guatemala, & Honduras!

Surprising right! If i have a chance, i would very want to take a good look at them. Though their way of life kinda irks me, but at the same time, after watching this movie, i had new respect for them! But even before that, I'm quite fascinated with the tribe stuffs. Jolly well because i love to see their piercings! aha!

Kinda gore in some particular parts in the killings and slashing.

The whole entire movie keeps me in anticipation and the things they do really left me in awe. I reckoned that you guys better go watch it. Its fabulous. Thumbs up* !

Wanted to catch the movie " Illusionist " at Marina Square initially. But baby doesn't want to, and JIaling says she is bound to fall asleep in the cinema. Alright then, so Baby brought us to Labrador Park instead.

A nice, breezy place where i could see quite a number of dazzling twinkling stars!
We were still kinda feeling invigorated, thus, we went on to the upper part of the park for a "stroll" .

Stupid baby kept scaring us by telling us a lot of spooky stories and deliberately frightened us! Oh my. The upper part was so dark so dark, where you couldn't even see your five fingers.

And baby actually suggested walking into the trail leading to a small forest i think? Gosh. The thought of it gave me goosebumps man!

Never in my life I'm gonna do that!

Sometimes, i just couldn't understand why some people love excitement so much, and their thirst in wanting to see a ghost is never satiated! And so, these people will go on to haunted places like Red House, Old Changi Hospital in search for ghosts and spirits.

I reckoned they have nothing better to do !

Okay ok, what if theses things really exist? Why bother to put yourself in the risk of getting harmed by them or whatever? Get spooled by them, then aftermath, having nightmares or afraid of the dark. What's the point man.

Aha! Sometimes, I just cant figure out Man's minds. It's just so complicated.

Speaking bout these reminded me of Girls Out Loud. In the lastest episode of GOL, the topic to be featured in the episode was about the "Third World" .

And there was one part where they went it the OCH to explore.

Honestly, do you guys all watch the GOL? I myself, do.

But not because i like, is that i want to see how skeptical they can be! I feel that the whole show is kinda crappy and meaningless! and everything they say are designed to be the way they want.

I couldn't really figure out what's the purpose of having this show? Or rather, a "comedy" .

Somehow, i deemed that all those expressions of them are kinda like wanting to grab attention. And, to prove, how hypocrite they are actually!

I wouldn't' say that it was both, but Xiaxue only. Not because I',m biased against her of what.

Aiya, just a personal opinion of mine lah! lol. =x

I'm super happy that i got great bargains at Suntec today again!

Not heels this time, but shorts! Those kinda above knee lengh, around thigh area. Hoho. They are having a fifty percent discount! And that makes $15 a pair! It's cheaper than buying online with shipping man! Yay, now i don't have to worry bout pants for Chinese New Year. Hooray~

Meeting Jialing later to the pasar malam after i return from the library and then... PIZZA at night again! :DD

FUCKhub

Fcuks! Im damn pissed off now by the stupid Starhub. Few days ago, they sent me a letter informing me that there will be a maintenance of the Starhub Cables on 17th from 9am to 6pm. Thus, all services will be disrupted.

Now, its alrd 7+ le! Yet, the internet connection is on and off! Damn it shit. It's giving me so much inconvenience! Now I'm on the line, wating for the CSO to attend to me!!

Idiot idiot idiot. Damn Starhub. =x

You guys must be wondering how do i blog when my internet connection is down. Well, the notepad is my temporaily blooging site. Will post it back on Blogger soon after my connection is back again. lol.

Anyway, Valentine's Day is coming soon. I looked forward to it initially, but not now, anymore.

All i ask is a celebration, but you told me we will just spend the day like any other day. Yes, i know! And i do agree that every other day is also Valentine's Day too! But i feel so sad when i thought of our first anniversary.. All our plans were foiled that night. And we ended up tearing. I dont want it to happen again!

Felt so moody and restless for the whole day in school after your sms. Sigh. Seriously, i dont think i'm asking too much. No, really no. It has been quite sometime since you gave me surprises. Or pamper me with little gifts. Okay, you may think I'm hinting you. I'm just speaking from the bottom of my heart. That's what i want.

Sometimes, i just wish to have that least bit of romantic-cells in you. Though i know, it's just impossible....

Till here, 12mins have passed. And the CSO hasn't answered the call yet!! Fuck them man. I guess, it is due to the " Overwhelming Response" of complain calls. Shheesh.

I know the hotline is toll free! But it just applies to Starhub users right! Im a Singtel user. =,=

Ohya, speaking of complains. Aha! I was just nicknamed Complain Queen in school recently. Simply because I lodged a complaint against some classmates of mine.

Im prepared to face the consequences of them bearing a grudge against me. But still, I did nothing wrong! I seeked the advice of my other friends, and they told me that I did a right thing! They had always wanted to voice out their unhapiness, but they just tolerated, year after year.

I'm not biased against who and who. I complained, just because I want a conducive environment to study. That's all yah !

But i dont dare to deny I'm a complain queen. Guess i just inherited the genes of my 3 brothers. They loved to complain at every single bit. But wait, i mean, not to complain over trivial matters lah! But mostly, bad service is the root of all complains.

Somehow, they have taught me to fight for my rights and get what i deserve.

Mummy, on the other hand, is as meek as a lamb. She is forever so friendly, so easy-going with everyone. She has friends almost anywhere and she goes around with a smile on her face.

I reckoned i cant be like her. Hah, simply cus i think I'm quite hostile sometimes. I do take initiatives, but only exceptions. I will choose the right place, the right time.

Character wise, i reckoned i resemble my Dad the most! His fierce, stern look has been passed on to me. Aha!

So if you guys see me on street, don't think I'm stuck up or what. I do smile, but just faintly, maybe you don't see it.

Afterall, I'm still friendly and i welcome new friends!! ^^

Okay, I'm feeling better now. Going to take a bath and will come back to check e net again. God bless it'll be re-connected again.

Why should they be call STARhub? I dont think they are so great that they shine like a star.

FUCKhub will be nicer. Serious.

Aha! I should be in school now. But i got up late today. =p

I love Mobtv Mobtv Mobtv!! Currently, I'm watching the sneak preview of Miracle which would be featured on Channel 8 on March 17th. hoho. 3 more episodes and its the finale!

The drama revolves around the miracles the doctors created for the patients, and also, the love triangle between them. A very inspiring one, which reminds us how lucky we are to be healthy, safe and sound.

Ohya. I caught the movie One Last Dance.

Rating: 3/5

Hmms, quite alright lah. The setting of the story is quite intriguing, but somehow, the story is quite slow. You need to really pay attention to catch the gist of the story.

I just cant wait for Apocalypto to be screened! tomorrow will be the sneak preview. hoho.

I read from an article in Time magazine that Mel Gibson actually used the real natives from tribes as actors in the movie. And those natives never even watched a show before, not to say acting in one! Wow! Impressed isn't it right. :D

Hoho. My mobtv subscription is expiring in a few day's time.. Baby baby baby baby!! You know what I'm gonna ask you right. teeheehees* :P:p

Ka-Boom!

Poof...........Ka-boom!

Damn. If i really heard this sound, I guess i wouldn't be here blogging. But instead, I would be hiding in the corner crying the hell out of me!

It's really giving me goosebumps to retell the incident. It was really scary man.

I was in the Biology Lab today doing some experiment. And we were told to make a hot water bath using the Bunsen burner and the beaker. Actually, there were 4 of us, and only one water bath is needed.

Seeing no one doing it, i volunteered. Thus, i turn on the gas tap, and light the Bunsen burner. Few seconds after, i could hear some noise, something like the flame was on some hollow thingy. I thought the wire gauze had caught fire. But blur me, i still stood there observing, trying to find the root of the sound.

Who knows, Ronald, who was sitting behind me, told me that it was the rubber gas tube which is catching fire!! I only stood there, eyes wide open, shrieking " Ahh!! " .

Luckily, Alvin saw and turned it off immediately. God damnit. I didn't know the seriousness of it man until Ronald told me that i nearly caused an explosion in the lab. If it really happens, my face will be disfigured !! Because the burner is just right in front of my face!!

Ahh!!! So scary man!! I really couldn't imagine if my face got disfigured. Baby said i would commit suicide and jump down the building. Aha!

But seriously, i think there will be quite a high percentage lah. lol.

Not to say I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, but really mah. My dream is to become a model. What could i do if my face is disfigured? Everything is dashed!! Imagine that was you, i doubt you wont be like me. Haha.

From today on, I'm not going to touch the Bunsen burner anymore! I don't ever wanna be a smart Alec and volunteer anything anymore! Hump! =\

Oh ya. I went for Air pistol training today. And i realized i don't even have a single point for Cca!! That means, i need to work super super super hard this year. Sigh. God bless.

Baby always say I'm a scheming and calculating person. He says that if i continue watching that, i may become a evil person. haha.

Spent my weekend at Baby's house. As for yesterday, Baby, me & Jialing went Suntec to catch the movie " The last dance ". Aftermath, we went to Geylang to eat Smelly Bean curd! ahaha. But apologies to Jialing for bringing her to eat that which she don't like. paiseh paiseh ~

Not forgetting, i attended my cousin's wedding at Amara Hotel. The bride was gorgeous man! Took some pics with the bride, but still have to wait for them to process it.

Yawns. Now watching the Channel8 drama series on Mobtv. ( The Miracle ). ahh! How man, i cant stop watching tv. aha! Going to pasar malam ltr with Jialing and i cant wait to eat Baby's coca cola chicken !! hoho. :DD

Yawns. What a Friday night and I'm here blogging! :(

Who is the cause of this? Actually, i don't know. should i blame Mr Nathan for sending all guys to NS, or to blame God for creating guys. Why do i say so? Cause baby is out for army function thingy, and Jialing is meeting her guy friend! :\

The weather hasn't been on my side too！Went swimming today and just 4 laps, and the Sun was out ! Of course, i rushed to hide in the toilet like a retard tortoise hiding in its shell. Aha! I'm afraid of getting tanned! My neck still has the bikini line which i got from the outdoor shoot last time. Sobs.

But at least, i swam 20laps on Wednesday.

Ohoh, i really need to have strong determination !! I simply just cant stay long in the steam bath room. Too hot alrd! Cant stand it. Anyway, went to check out the benefits of steam bath. And this is what i got.

Firstly, a Happy New Year to all !

It's the second day of 2007. And I'm still jolly well in the holiday mood! Tomorrow will be the day I'm gonna start working hard again.

Somehow, feel kinda like "bu-she-de" lidat. aha! I had great fun with Baby these few days. Staying over his place, eat hot-pot ( happened ystd with his family ), this and that. Wow~

You have to forget the past to have a future.

That's what I've heard from hk drama series all the time. But how to? Not so easy i reckon. bleh. :p

Oh oh, I will be having a studio shoot with Alvin and gang on the 20th Jan. Been cracking my brains about what theme and look i should feature in this shoot. Any suggestions?

Anyway, i had a very simple New Year's Eve ! The same ol' us just like what we did for Xmas Eve. All the things we did just simply revolved around the neighborhood.

Simply just because we are bright people! We wouldn't want to squeeze with all the kiasu people. aha!

Baby, Jialing & I started off with a simple dinner just at Serangoon. After which, we headed off to Toa Payoh CC, the place where baby's mummy worked at, for ktv session. Soon after we sang our hearts off, we rushed over to TPY Eng Wah to catch the sneak preview - Spirit of Victim. Aww.. The show was so "enthralling" that i hid covered my face half throughout the show. Aha !

Of course, after all the screaming and gasping at the show, we girls sure had all the grumbles in our ll' tummy! hees. Baby drove us to Hougang to have Midnight Curry.

Jialing suggested to go Changi to see " Ah gua" , Aha! Is those Thai transvestite standing along the pavement of the car park at Changi, trying to " promote " themselves.

I really had to give them thumbs up. They were so pretty, had such a fantastic figure that captivated me. But still, all those, were still plastic. =x

Some looked at us with such evil eyes. Baby told us that they don't like women to stare at them. After all, although they are guys, they have gone through a hard process to become what they are become now, and their only motive is to be attractive to guys.

Well, sometimes, i just don't understand how Man's brain works. It's just so...hyperbolic?

Jialing & I didn't know that there were actually " Beginners Zone " & " Expertise zone " for these transvestites.

Both were still transvestites. The difference is, the transvestites in the beginners zone were not so fully developed as a women, and still had the least guy hormone. But in the expertise zone, all of them looked perfectly 100% women !

Aha!

Our last destination was Changi Beach. We just stood over the fence, enjoying the breeze of the sea, chit chatting everything under the "moon". Aha!

Not to say, home sweet home after that ! Woohoo.

Well, that's the end of our New Year Eve celebration. Simple and sweet! :D

And one thing for sure, I love my lil' Baby more and more each day. *teeheesz!!
