Today marks the 3rd day of the start of the term, in other words,
TEP. It was not as bad as I expected though. It's fun! Maybe because we haven't really start work so now, we are kinda idling around.
New friends.. New environment.. New things to learn. Not bad.
Haha.
Just attended a talk on Overseas Student Exchange Program (
OSEP). They are
currently offering students to have
the opportunity to study one whole
semester at the
universities in Paris, France (Nice), Ireland, Finland, Germany, and Korean. As much as I want to go, the cost is way too much. 5 months in Paris can cost up to 15k
including food and lodging. And mind you, that's
exclusive of your own expenses. I wonder how can I
not succummb to those
temptations over at Paris (
the city of labels). Hahaha!
On a lighter note, they are offering a 3 weeks Summer Program in Korea in June. 3 weeks for $2800..
Hmm.. What you think? Should I go? This summer program is unlike the
OSEP where you have a syllabus to follow and take exams at the end of the day. This summer program is purely for fun where you
will be
engaged in field trips and
sightseeing around Korean. But kinda not worth it ya as you only have to pay like 4k to study the whole
sem there. Not really justified to pay 2.8k
just for 3 weeks there ya?
How How How??
On a sidenote, Baby is going to BKK for a business trip in May. :(

It's 3 days to the Princess's Birthday! I'm so looking forward. Hehe. Though these few days, there are people who have been messaging me telling me all sorts of funny excuses that they cant make it or whatsoever, I'm still anticipating for that day to arrive as I know my darlings out there are excited as I am. And I wouldn't want to waste the effort that they have put in in helping me out in the preparation of the party, especially my BB. From booking of chalet to catering of food to renting stools and all.. Thank you dear.
When I saw the words "Joscelin's Birthday Party" accompanied with a picture of a balloon being marked down on Joanne's organizer, I felt a squeeze in my heart. It is these small little things that really makes my day. And I really appreciate her for helping me plan the games that we are gonna play in the wee hours to keep ourselves "awake" through the night. :)
I'm actually contemplating if I should cut cake at 12 midnight or at 9pm. To me, I reckoned it's no fun to cut cake at 9 as my main purpose of the party is to have friends to countdown with me and welcome this "grand/special/whatsoever" moment with me. (hahahah! I'm exaggerating man!). But yet, I've to take into consideration that if they stay on with me till 12 midnight, it will be at the expense of the exorbitant cab costs.
CH actually proposed the idea of them buying another cake for me at 12am to countdown with me while I cut cake at 9pm with those who are unable to stay till too late. When BB heard that, he was like "uh? one birthday cut 3 cakes??!" and he walked away. HAHAHA!
Anyway, I just came back from a Royale Retreat Pedicure from Royale Retreat Nail Spa @ Siglap Centre. It was a gift from Elaine! Heh. I guessed she knew that I will never bear to spend so much on a classic pedi, let alone a Royale Retreat! :p
But I have really have to admit that over at Royale Retreat Nail Spa, they practice very good hygiene and their service is impeccable. Unlike those typical nail spas, they gave us the privilege to sit comfortably in a massage chair while they receive their 1 hr royal treatment. Not forgetting, tea and cookies are offered to you upon arrival. Besides that, there is a plasma tv hung on top of the wall too. So you have the option of either watching your 9pm show or listening to bossa nova while reading magazines! Sounds fab? It is!
Check out their website.
http://royaleretreat.com.sg/Don't hesitate and head down to get your first royal pedi/mani! Heh, can't wait for my next visit there. But guess it will be at least another 1.5 months time.. Sinply because even after 1.5 months, my nails still remain as shiny and you can see not a bit of chipping!
They definitely didn't ask me to help them do any advertising. It's just too great a deal to be missed out so here I am, sharing with you girls. Heh :)
My first time visit there.

And you bet, even it's just an express pedicure, they never and will not skim on their service. :)

Last but not least, thanks gal!! Heh, see ya on Friday. :) loves*

Sometime back, I did an oriental shoot with my dear bimbo (Huiling)! Everything went smoothly except for that scorching sun that literally melted us! :(
For those who've been reading my blog, you would have found the top Huiling is wearing looks familiar. Yes, it's mine. We practically swopped all our clothings. The black dress you will see later on is hers, and that denim skirt is mine!
Sigh. Thanks to myself. I forgot that I'm supposed to bring another fashion outfit. That denim dress was planned to be worn for the primary school gathering I had after that shoot. And all I had was slippers and that covered heels then. I thought it would look funny if I wear covered heels with that denim dress so I swapped it with Huiling. But don't you think Huiling looks great in that? Especially with that new hairstyle of hers which totally complements the look. :)

Friends have been asking me why I'm working so hard, to the extent of working 7 days week. And my answer would be "Oh, to earn more money lor!" And the next question would always be, "Aren't you tired?"
Well, I would be lying if I said no. But yet, whenever my boss gives me a pat on my back and utters that two magical words "Good Job!", a sense of achievement fills me up and all that tiredness of the whole week seems to vanish in that split second.
To me, what matters most is that at the end of the day, your boss acknowledges your effort and rewards you accordingly. Don't you think so too? :)

Aloha! It has been sometime since I've blogged (a decent entry). Have been really busy with work and all.
Just a warning, this post is gonna be a tad boring as 1/2 of it will be kind of like a self-reflectory post! Just when I'm starting to get used to the hectic lifestyle of mine, I've recently got news that the new term might start earlier for my batch. And the new term spells only more work. Before you say it, no, it's not attachment. My school has implemented a system whereby all students in the School Of Business have to go through TEP (Teaching-Enterprise-Program). It's just akin to attachment, but internally to the school instead.
Somehow, I kinda dread for the new term to start. I would rather have more time allocated to studying new concepts instead of getting stuck at a call center for a pathetic 5 months, doing something I've always been doing. Maybe, it's a totally novel thing for those who have no work experience, but for me who have been working since the age of 13 and have tried an array of jobs, its just.. sigh. But still, I'm gonna take it positively and try my best to maximize my time and learn as much as possible. I believe I still have lots to learn and improve on. hehe :)
I've been doing alot of self-reflection upon myself recently and it dawned upon me that life doesn't only revolves around me and myself. I'm trying very hard to change for the better and i never knew that seeing other's people putting a smile across their face because of your actions is such a wondrous and magical feeling. Even simple things which you may have always deemed it to be insignificant, like treating your friend to a cup of bubble tea, not squabbling over that few cents of change, etc; seems to be the trick to opening yourself to a whole new dimension of your relationship with people.
Being magnanimous towards people whom come from another country or of a differnt race is one of the things I've learnt from my job. Baby says I'm always so unwilling to put my guard down of other people till the other party does something nice to me. Yes, it's very true. I always allow steoreotypes to distort my views on a certain person and somehow, that creates a barrier between me and the other party. And I believe this is the reason that I'm always seen as a person whom is proud and not easy to get along with.
"Be easy on others, and be easy on yourself". I feel so ashamed to only have realise this now.
Love-wise; March has been a very unsound month for both of us. We have been quarreling very often and have been very unforgiving towards each other. It dawned upon us how things change since the very first day we met each other.. But still, things are fine between us now and we are still loving each other as before. We're still trying hard to iron out the differences and keeping our relationship on the track. I just hope April will be a better month for us. :)
Falling in love is easy, but maintaing one was never easy. On a lighter note, I'm currently reading a few self-help books like 'How to Talk to Anyone" and "Emotional Intelligence" by Daniel Coleman. I think the first one is really interesting and really comes in handy for people who wants to improve their "PR" skills.
I shall not let you have the excuse of saying that I'm selfish by not sharing the contents with you guys. Here it is! :)
